Since April 2002, Mr. Canon has been the President and CEO of Ranger, a Dallas- based investment management company. Between January 2001 and April 2002, Mr. Canon had served as the Chief Operating Officer of Ranger. From February 1999 to January 2001, Mr. Canon was Chief Financial Officer of Green Mountain Energy Company. From March 1992 to February 1999, Mr. Canon served in a variety of roles with the broker-dealer affiliate of Security Capital Group, a global real estate research, investment and operating management company. He was a member of the affiliate’s Board of Directors and Head of the Capital Placement Group. From October 1991 to March 1992, Mr. Canon worked for Chase Manhattan Bank and from August 1987 to October 1991 he worked for Goldman, Sachs & Co. In addition, Mr. Canon is a member of YPO Organization, and served as a member of the Board of Directors for Green Mountain Energy Company before it was purchased by NRG Energy. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of The Wezmore Project, a charitable organization. Mr. Canon earned a B.A. degree (Phi Beta Kappa) with High Honors in Plan II and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
